I guess you would call this my basic instrument. It's an Alvarez 5227. A dreadnaught style six string, it's the closest I could get to a Martin D-anything, although I still hold out hope for someday owning a real, live Martin. I've owned this one since 1987. It's a nice playing and sounding guitar. No frills. A two piece back and nice action. It's served me well for a long time. No cute stories about this one.
